Represented by Noran Gallery, Natalie Rich offers in this low-relief work a sensitive vocabulary where matter keeps the trace of the gesture. Co-founder of Galería Tambien in Ibiza with Jorge Fernández, she develops a body of work where ceramics, sculpture and painting compose a single narrative attentive to the viewer's eye.
“‘Elements' is a process where I create ceramic elements using different types of clay to introduce color and texture. Some are glazed, while others remain in a biscuit state.
The wooden support, an essential tool, is a part of the composition. It is prepared and used for cutting or drying the clay, which gives it its worn appearance.
Just like the moment of creating a painting.
A spontaneous moment, in the now, where the elements come together.
With a set of elements, I create a composition, establish a rhythm, and construct.”

This artwork was acquired by the prestigious Teranka Hotel on the island of Formentera and is displayed in the reception hall.
